Hello,

Happy New Year to those we have not yet spoken to! We hope you have a healthy, happy and successful 2025.

There are going to be some changes to our systems over the next couple of months which we wanted to give you plenty of notice about.

 

New Ticketing System

If you are currently using our online ticketing web portal, this will close on 31st January 2025 as we are implementing a new service desk system.

We will be able to give you access to the new system in due course, after it has been implemented, but in the meantime please email the helpdesk on helpdesk@ncs.cloud or telephone on 01706 239000 option 1.

 

Quarterly and Annual Reviews

Over the past few months, we have also started to carry out quarterly and annual reviews for our support customers.

These are currently being rolled out and your Account Manager will be in touch when yours has been completed.

Zen Update

Zen Internet have asked us to inform you of changes that are coming. In March 2025, they will be upgrading their web hosting product, cPanel. They will be upgrading the servers to MariaDB, version 10.6, a newer and more advanced version of the database management system.

This upgrade includes important improvements to performance, security, and compatibility with modern web standards.

Most websites won’t be impacted at all by this upgrade and no change will be detected.

However, we would advise checking that any plugins, themes or configurations are up-to- date on your website and if your website relies on MySQL specific code, verify it’s compatible with MariaDB v10.6 as soon as possible.

If you are unsure on any of the checks required, please contact your website developer.

After the upgrade, please check any websites you host on Zen’s cPanel platform as well as any custom features to make sure everything works as expected.
